Seu sangrento terminado

Its all over. Few months of hellish torture that is Thinkquest. Just finished up all the shit and uploading the whole lot online. All my team members are asleep and won't even know whether I spelled their name right in the 'About us' page. Being group leader of this team was not an easy task. I had to deal with a lot people who just would not do anything for the project. By my last count, I have sent out six people out of the team because they plainly refused to do anything by claiming to be tired. Then why the hell did they join Thinkquest in the first place. Only Yong Feng and I have stayed from the very start till the end. I am very grateful to him for willing to sacrifice so much of his time for this website even though we both had very busy schedules. To the newer members of my team, why did you all not join earlier? You were the best ever and I certainly learnt a lot of stuff from you all. Especially Juinn Haur for relentlessly fixing the bugs in the javascript file. He was so good that he read up my 2000 lines of javascript code within an hour and index the whole lot of the website contents. Its been a pleasure working with you man. He stayed up with me till eleven and suddenly logged out due to curfew. Haha. Thanks for finishing up all those stuff before you logged out. To Shu Yin, although you have been in the team only for the past three weeks, you have totally revamped the whole website so that it looks very decent and classy. To Fan Di, hope I have not made you quit permanently from your church. Please start going back soon okay. Many thanks for doing up all the picutres although you had a high fever and also to your father for helping to type up all your stuff for the team when you were sick. To Ushnih "I-dunno-bio" De, thanks for volunteering in the last minute to fix Yong Feng's Engrish. Finally to Mr.Gi. Although I have had many great escapades from you whenever I have been seeing you for the past few months, you have helped us at the exact points when we needed help. Thanks a lot. In conclusoin, IF we win, lets blast off to San Francisco or else, its been a pleasure working with you all and I have learnt many many stuff over tse past few months..

Muito pesaroso y mi problema con los evangelistas

Hello everybody after like three weeks. So sorry for not posting anything. As many of you know, I had Tamil Debates for the last few weeks. I only return home at about ten in the night everyday. So, I was too tired to post anything. I spent my last week trying to catch up with my work. Whether it was fruitful or not was another matter. So here I am after all the scoldings from all my teachers.

Last week was my Tamil Debates. VJC tried hard but we lost in the end. At least I managed to get the Best Speaker award. Many thanks to all those who came to support me. Especially the councillors who were there for me although they did not understand Tamil. Many thanks to Sean, Francis, Jia Yu, Attiqah, Lay Queen, She Fong, Jared, Rachel and all the ICS members were there. Also, many thanks to my classmates, Vernie, Jia Hao, John, Shikin and her *ahem* Mr. Chad Goh and family and various others for supporting me from home. You were the best audience ever. I am also most grateful to my tamil teacher Mr. Veera who stayed back with us everyday to help us with our script, buying us pizzas whenever we had to stay late in school and paying for my taxi fare whenever I went home. Thanks a lot. Expect a treat soon from me...

I finally finished watching Gospel of Judas yesterday. It was quite informative and provided me with a probable alternate theory of what really happened. Thats not the end of my brush with Chiristianity. I was walking home after school few weeks when a guy approached me and asked me whether I had a faith(Do I look like a guy without faith?). Then he gave me a bunch of phamplets talking about his church and a small bible. I faked a phone call and left. I have seen quite a few of my friends converting to Christianity lately. But I ask them, whats your problem? I believe those who are not happy with their original religion don't know enough about it and its teachings.

I went home that day and researched a bit on what Christianity is about. From what I gather its selective Judaism. Certain gospels of the Jewish religion has been chosen and been fed to us. Another question I had was whether Judas Iscariot ended up in heaven or hell. Church claims he ended up in hell. I talked to my friends about it. They said its true cuz Judas was supposed to have had a free choice granted by God for his actions and he was supposed to have waited until Jesus's resurrection. But, wasn't it prophesised that someone will betray Jesus. So, is that the irony of the free choice given by your God? Its as if He said, "One of you humans have to go to hell, I give you all the free choice to chose who." I tried to talk about interpretations offered by the other gospels but they were all brushed off as Gnostic gospels. Hello!!! Gnostics were Christians if you don't know. It was the early church which chose which interpretations to accept and branded the others as Gnostic heretics. So, the church is not telling you the whole story. Please do not take any offense because I don't doubt the spiritual aspect of Christianity, that there is a God and he loves us. What I have a problem with is te story advocated by the church regarding Jesus. It portrays him in a special sense. Do you know that Jesus was not the only such person who existed during that period? Do you know how much of other 'heretic' works were destroyed by the early church? We may never know the truth.

Francis talked about cell groups in his blog. Its true. Many of my friends I see nowadays are going for such church meetings often. I bet most of it is just to hang around and socialise. Even for my project group, these activities have had many detrimental effects. One of my group members was busy with CCA during the weekdays. That was fine. I was too. But he could not even do his work over the weekends. The excuse he gave -- church. Where? Sentosa. Doing what? Praise session. WTF?? What the hell was he doing in Sentosa praising God? Respect and praise for God should come from the heart and not by dancing around with Christian rock bands. At least Hinduism comes clean on this aspect-"doing you duty properly is the greatest service to God." He quit after a few months of not doing any work at all. He was replaced by another person. She was in Language Elective Programme and was a second intaker. She lived far away from her church and thus told her cell leader that she wanted to take a break from all the church activities for a month. A month only. But the church leader did not let her go. She smsed her everyday. Not only that, she encouraged all the other 28 church members to sms her everyday. My group member could not take it and switched off her handphone. We were only able to get into contact with her after two weeks when she changed her phone. What the hell is their problem? Why can't they let people be? Why can't they respect others decisions? Why do they claim theirs is the legitamate way and that others will be sent to hell on Judgement Day?

Enough with my incomprehensible ranting. To all my Christian friends, please do not feel offended and take what I said with a pinch of salt. I am still your friend. Keep coming back. Good night........

Assim tarde na noite

Hello everybody again. Sorry for not posting for week. It is one thirty am in the morning and I am feeling sleepy. So this post will be a small one. So, yes, how is everybody? Today was the soccer match against MI and VJC won as usual. I am very sure that we will win the championships this year. We have a very good team. I have a funny sounding remix version of Alicia Keyes' 'If I ain't got you' playing on my laptop now. Tomorrow is the start of my actual web designing for my A level coursework. So, hope all the pictures I have saved from gettyimages are useful.

Ok kids, gotta blast off to the cloud cuckoo land. If anyone wants to come for my tamil debate finals, please tag here, sms me or tell me personally. Hope to see as many of you there as possible. Before I go off, here is the video for this post. It is a bullet-time spoof of a table tennis match. Enjoy!

Nós ganhamos

Hello everybody. Today was the tamil debates semi-finals. Guess what people? We won today. And I appeared on the news. The finals will be on the 23rd of April. It will be broadcast live on Vasantham Central. So, those who can make it, please come for it. I will try to get tickets for you all. I would like to thank a few people for today. Firstly, my tamil teacher Mr. Veera who made us meet everyday to prepare for the debate and for buying us pizzas everytime we were late and paying for my taxi whenever i left school at 10+. I would like to thank all the indians who came down to support us and cheer for us. I would also like to thank the MusicFest ad hoc for letting me slack for the prep and for the reserved first row seat. And to all my teammates. We will rock the finals.

Yesterday's MusicFest was a blast. I had the most embarassing job. I was the projector man. Basically, before every performance, I have walk to up to the projector and remove the lens cover(the programme booklet). Then, when the MCs introduce the contestants, I had to activate the projector for John to play the movie. After the movie was over, I had to mute the movie on the projector and walk back to the projector to block it again. This was because the projector still displayed a grey rectangle that would distract the performers. So, I hadalk up and down to the projector from the front row. Many thanks to Lamuel, the ODAC-ers and the TSD people for giving me the valuable company to preserve my sanity. The performances were all of high quality and I must say that they were all much much better that last year. *cough*ba*cough*nan*as*cough*. The Daniel band was really good and I am not saying this because they are my classmates. They really deserved to win. Liang Hong had a new horizantal-rectangular-cow-bell-like(freaky. I just found out from wikipedia that IT IS CALLED A COWBELL) instrument and made really interesting rythmns with it. Although somehow, the results were all same as the ones shown during the rehearsals. I am okay with the winners except for a few, but to each his own. I was really dissappointed that 'Blaze' could not win although it was a close competition.

Here's the video for this blog entry. The new 'Council Song'. It is the music video for Billy Idol's White Wedding:

Rachel told me that she got inspired by my previous post to go and mug. I am glad that I got to inspire others. Go people! We will all do well and be the best for the A levels.

Now I have to go back to my article on Quantum Entanglement. If you all want to know
what it is, I will start posting physics lessons from next post onwards.

Buenos adios amigos...

Meu segundo borne do blog

It is about 03:30 am in the morning and it is very quiet in the neighbourhood. I just woke up at 3 to finish off some of my tutorials and do my other work. Many of you may not know that I am involved in a lot of stuff in my school. I am in Tamil Debates and debating in the national championships. Semi finals are this Saturday. So, I have to spend about an hour each day on it on top of the usual practices at school. I am taking 3 S papers and need to at least do well in them or else they take them away from me. My computing A level coursework just started this Monday and there will be 6 more gruelling hours of web designing without any internet connection. You have to create all the pictures you need yourself. So, I have to study massive tomes of computer books on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Photoshop, Fireworks, Flash and blah, blah, blah within a week and cram them in my brain. Oh wait, I am also involved in Thinkquest international competitions and I am the group leader who always gets screwed by the teacher-in-charge who is none other than Mr. ḠḮ(I don't want him to find this place). True that I have been sleeping off a bit lately but I am just tired of looking at the computer code for a very long time. Then, I have to study for SAT 2 which is this June, search and apply for US universities before the exams start so that I can blast off to MIT after I finish my A levels. So I am pretty packed up. Stress is only short term and I believe that you should push yourself and experience and take away as much as possible. You only have one life to experience these after all.

So people, this is why I sleep less and go to sleep late and wake up very early. On top of that it takes about seventy minutes to go home if I am lucky and all the buses come on time. Trust me sleeping less in irregular hours gives only gives you a mild headache during lectures and a grogginess through the tutorials. I won't be able to remember all the stuff told there even if i am awake.

MusicFest is this Friday and I have to be involved in it. I am grateful they have given me the job of assisting francis in playing his videos so that I don't really have to go for a lot of rehearsals. The MusicFest ad hoc has been working really hard and I am very sure that this year's MusicFest will be a blast. Just don't forget the party afterwards 'ya?

So, I am going back to mugging to fulfill my responsibilities. Before I leave, here is the video of Kanye West performing Golddigger at 2005 Video Music Awards. West is one of my favourite singer. I like his unique voice a lot. Francis, are you watching this video???

The blogger website just locked this blog. I dunno why but this blog will reach you quite late. But trust me, I woke up at 3 today...
